General
What ages of children can attend camp?
Children who have attended Kindergarten and up to going into Grade 4 are invited to register.
Due to government regulations, we are not able to accept children who have not yet attended Kindergarten.
What are your hours?
Camp hours are 9:00am – 4:30pm.
Early drop off available starting at 7:30am and late pickup until 5:00pm.
What is your late pick up policy?
Late pickup fees of $15 for every 15 minutes or portion thereof apply.
Do you do field trips?
Yes, we do! We offer optional weekly on‑ and off‑site field trips. They usually range from $15–$35 and are not part of the camp fee. Families can sign up for these beginning on or before April 1, 2026
How do I help my child prepare for camp each day?
Here’s our best tips to to help your child have the best start to their day:
- Please ensure they have eaten breakfast before they come to camp.
- Help them to check that they have packed everything on the What to Bring checklist!
- Separate shoes for indoor and outdoor play is a must! Please ensure they are closed-toe shoes for safety purposes. Indoor shoes may be left at the program for the week – please take your child’s shoes home with them on the weekend.
- Having sunscreen on before they come is best for being ready for outdoor play! There will be a time in the afternoon, before outdoor play again, where camp leaders will supervise the children in the reapplication of their lotion sunscreen. If your child forgets their lotion sunscreen, we will provide your child with the centre’s sunscreen. This is the brand we have on standby for the children: “Banana Boat Kids – 60 SPF- Hypoallergenic”. If you do NOT want this brand being used by your child, please ensure you send sunscreen for your child. Remember – No Spray Sunscreen. Thank you!
- Arrive on time, no later than 8:45!
Where do I drop off and pick up my child?
Drop off and pick up locations vary by camp location – you will receive communication from your Camp Coordinator closer to the start of the summer with details.
Do I have to come in to the program when dropping off or picking up my child?
Yes! It’s an important safety protocol that you come into the program and speak to a camp leader so that we know your child has arrived and so we can sign them in.
Similarly, when you pick your child up at the end of the day, please make sure you speak to a camp leader and bring photo ID so they can sign your child out. Safety first!
Who can pick up my child?
Another safety protocol is to have only people approved by you picking up your child.
If you are authorizing another person to pick up your child, please send us an email or text message with the person’s name and make sure they bring photo ID.
We are running late and can’t arrive by 8:45. What do we do?
We understand that mornings can get busy! If you are running late, please send a text message to the centre. We will do our best to accommodate a late arrival, however if the group has already left for a morning off-site activity, you may be asked to bring your child later in the morning once the group has returned.
My child is registered, but is not coming to camp today. Do you need to know that?
Yes! We are planning for and expecting your child each day by 8:45 AM! If your child will not be coming, you can text us the night before or the morning of, or send an email a couple of days in advance. Either way, please make sure you let us know!
What is your adverse weather policy?
Decisions on outdoor activities will be guided by the websites noted below. We will not go outside if the Air Quality Index is 7 or higher, nor in heavy rain. If temperatures exceed 32 degrees Celsius, staff will use their discretion by considering time spent outside, available shade, and offer water and water play.

What does a typical day at camp look like?
- Morning Meeting – We start the day off with a quick meeting to talk about the day and the special activities of the week
- Outdoor Adventures – Mornings are our time to head outdoors — a walk to the playground, scavenger hunt, outdoor games and more!
- Lunch Time & Free Play – Kids bring their own garbageless lunches and enjoy free play, as well as special features and options during the week.
- Multiple Camp options in the afternoons give kids the freedom to choose their fun: Art, STEM, Sports or DIY Fun! This is also when any Special Daily Events are scheduled.
- Free play and pick up starts at 4:30PM
Please check out the Camp Calendars. There is something special going on each day at camp!
Do you have LOST and FOUND?
Yes, but the best way to ensure your child’s belongings get FOUND is to LABEL everything!
Please check the Lost and Found area daily. Unclaimed items will be donated after the last day of camp.

Registration
How do I register?
Registration is done online through the Registration pages of the location of your choice. Once you have submitted your registration, you will be prompted to pay the deposit of $260 per child by credit card.
Once the deposit payment has been received by our administration team, you will be contacted within 2 business days by our adminsitration team to complete the final steps.
Don’t miss out! Due to the popularity of our camps, we will need to release any registrations for which we haven’t received the deposit payment after 48 hours. Thank you for your understanding!
Can I register my child for only part of the day or part of the week?
While enrollment is by the week, you’re welcome to send your child for only some days or for mornings only. For programming and staffing reasons, we aren’t able to accept planned arrivals after 9:00 am.
In our experience, children don’t want to miss out on any of the activities!
When is the balance of my camp fees due?
Your deposit of $260 per child will be applied to your camp fees, and the balance is due by May 31, 2026. You will be sent an invoice by our administration team through which to pay your balance by credit card.
Late payment charge is $25. If payment hasn’t been received by May 31, your child’s spot may be forfeited.
What if I need to cancel my child’s registration?
We recognize that plans may change due to a change of vacation plans, moving, finding another camp, or any other reason. If that happens, please let us know. If you cancel your spot before May 31, 2026, we will process a full refund less a $75 administrative fee. Refunds are not available for withdrawals requested after May 31, 2026
Why is there an administration fee?
When a registration is cancelled, our team updates rosters, staffing, waitlists, and processes refunds. Credit Cared payment‑processing fees are also not returned to us. The admin fee helps cover these costs.
Can I make changes to my child’s registration?
If your plans change, you’re welcome to request to change to your child’s registered weeks. We can move your registration to another 2026 week as long as space is available. A $25 change fee applies.
There is no extra charge to add weeks.
Will you provide a tax receipt?
Childcare expense receipts will be issued to you by February 28 of the year following summer camp (2025 summer camp receipts will be sent by February 28, 2026).
These receipts will be emailed from system@kinderlogix.com to the email address that you provided when you registered your child.
Parents are advised to add the KinderLogix.com domain to their email program contact list/safe sender list; otherwise, the email may be filtered into a junk/spam folder. Replacement receipts (including name or address changes) are subject to an additional charge of $30.
Do you accept subsidy?
If your family is eligible for Alberta Child Care Subsidy, please contact us.
Families with children in who attend full-time Kindergarten or grades 1-4 who join us for at least one month in the summer may be eligible for a subsidy rebate. A rebate means that families are required to pay the full camp fees and then once the government processes your subsidy payment, we will pass the funds on to you less a $25 subsidy processing fee.
Here’s how the process works:
- Parents apply for subsidy on this website: Alberta Child Care Subsidy, or contact the subsidy office to transfer their existing subsidy to for the summer months.
- The government notifies us of the approval and we then submit your child’s actual attendance hours on your behalf (July hours are reported the first week of August, and August hours are reported the first week of September). Subsidy payments from the government are typically received in the second week of August for the July subsidy and the second week of September for the August subsidy.
- Rebates will then be processed in mid-September by etransfer to the email address provided for Parent 1 on the online registration form less the $25 subsidy processing fee. Should families desire the rebate be sent to a different email address, we request notification by September 1 of the alternate email address.

Camper Support
Are you an inclusive program?
We are an inclusive program and welcome children of all abilities whose needs we are able to meet in our group program context.
If you have a special needs child who wants to attend YEG Summer camp, please contact us. As we are not able to offer 1:1 care for special needs campers, we will do our best to work with you and your existing support system to set your child up for success at camp!
Please visit our Camper Support and Inclusion Page (coming soon) for more details.
What if my child needs extra support?
While many children thrive in our standard 15 children to 1 camp leader group ratio, some children benefit from additional help in certain situations and in certain developmental areas.
Sharing information about your child during registration helps us plan proactively and set them up for success. When we’re unable to prepare in advance, we may need to offer programming at an alternate location where the appropriate supports are available.
Please visit our Camper Support and Inclusion Page (coming soon) for more details.
Will you administer medication to my child during camp?
Our camp leaders are trained to provide emergency medication such as epinephrine or inhalers for asthma. Please ensure the paperwork is submitted at least two weeks before camp starts to allow us time to ensure we have all the information we need for the safety of your child.
Camp leaders are not able to accept the extra responsibility of administering prescription medication. Please work with your child’s doctor to plan a medication administration schedule outside of camp hours. If your child must have prescription medication administered during camp hours, you will be required to come administer the medication to your child.
Please also note that we need to know if your child takes medication on a regular basis. Not disclosing this information on your child’s online registration form jeopardizes the safety of your child in our program and may result in the cancellation of your child’s camp registration.
What happens if my child is sick?
As a licensed child care program, we are mandated by Alberta Health Services that sick children are to be sent home and need to be symptom-free for 24 hours (without medication such as Tylenol) before they are eligible to return to the program.
Please do not bring your child to camp if they have had a fever, vomiting, diarrhea in the last 24 hours. Please also keep them home if they have a new or unexplained rash or cough, chicken pox, pink-eye, bacterial skin infection, head lice, scabies, or any other illness or symptom that may pose a health risk to others. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us.
We are not able to provide refunds for absences from camp, nor are we able to arrange make-up days.
Will you provide snacks and lunch?
No, please send a morning and afternoon snack with your child, as well as a lunch that does not need refrigeration nor a microwave. To help reduce the amount of garbage generated, please send your child with reusable containers. All garbage will be returned with your child in their lunch bag.
