Camper Support & Inclusion
Many children thrive in our standard 15:1 group ratio, enjoying the energy, activity, and friendships that come with a busy camp environment. Some children benefit from additional staffing support to help them stay regulated, comfortable, and engaged throughout the day.
When Additional Support May Help
Some school-aged children benefit from extra guidance with:
- Managing big emotions
- Navigating transitions or changes in routine
- Coping with busy or noisy environments
- Impulsive behaviour or difficulty with self‑regulation
- Building or maintaining friendships
- Sensory sensitivities
- Medical or safety‑related supervision needs
Proving the right level of support helps to ensure that all children can participate safely and enjoy a positive camp experience.
How We Plan for Support
To support your child well, it is important that families share any relevant information during registration. This helps us plan staffing and programming thoughtfully.
If we have not had the opportunity to plan for enhanced staffing at your preferred location before camp begins, we may need to offer care at an alternate location where appropriate supports are available. Families would be responsible for transportation to the alternate location in that situation.

Working Together
After reviewing your registration, our administrative team will reach out for a brief follow‑up conversation. This helps us understand your child’s strengths, routines, and support needs so we can determine whether our standard 15:1 ratio is a good fit or whether additional planning is needed to set your child up for success.
Support for Children with Special Needs
If your child has special needs and receives 1:1 support in their school setting, they will also need 1:1 support while at camp. We invite you to connect with us so we can collaborate with you and your child’s support team to plan for a successful and inclusive camp experience. Our camp leaders are not able to provide 1:1 support themselves.
